Hair density SMP treatments are very effective for both women and men who are looking for a solution for thinning hair and bald spots. Most thinning hair is either genetic or linked to hormonal changes and can be distressing when it drastically changes a person’s appearance. SMP is a two dimensional treatment applied within the hairline to create the look of fuller hair or hair density through a "dusting" of tiny dots throughout the scalp to camouflage the skin tone of the scalp.
SMP is a great solution to hide medical scars from surgery or hair transplant surgeries (FUT's and FUE's). Micropigmentation can conceal scars by applying a series of tiny dots that mimic hair follicles, essentially creating the look of hair on the scarred area so that the scarring is no longer visible. SMP is also a cosmetic solution to any burn sites on the head or face that have stopped growing hair due to trauma.
Sometimes hair transplants or previous SMP treatments do not produce the desired effects and our clients will elect to enhance prior procedures by having an SMP density treatment. In these cases SMP is a great solution for disguising and integrating the previous treatments to achieve the desired appearance of a full head of hair.
